It was my father's
birthday. I had planned a party at his house with my brother
and sister and their families. My mother had passed away 2 years ago. It seems I
always have her on my mind, so for Dad's party I softly whispered to Mom she was
invited also. The party went well. Dad had a wonderful time since all of us kids
can't get together as often as he would like. We were all sitting around talking
when some books sitting on the fireplace hearth suddenly slid off and fell on the
floor. They were sitting flat on the hearth with nothing hanging over. At that
time I knew my mom had made it to Dad's birthday party. Later my brother told me
he had smelled her perfume she used to wear years ago. Debbie |
