8:10 pm

We arrived at the home and met with the homeowners. We went upstairs with Mike Nickel. I sat up my camcorder and GE audio recorder in the south bedroom. I sat up my Olympus Pearlcoder S701 in the north room upstairs. I used my EMF meter, but did not get any readings. I left the EMF meter turned on and left it next to the Olympus recorder.

As soon as I had gotten upstairs I felt a lot of tension and I felt a sense of being suffocated and I was nauseous.

I assumed at the time my feelings were due to the fact I was aware of things that had taken place on a previous investigation. This would later be disproved.

8:30 pm

After setting up my equipment I went back downstairs. Sheri was with me. We were standing in the living room. I told Sheri I was going out to my van to get my Pepsi. When I came back inside she asked me if I had brought "someone" with me. She said after I walked out the door she heard a child's voice yell "mom". The voice came from the bedroom located just off the living room. There were no children present in the home that night.

The "someone" Sheri was referring to is the child I hear in my own home. This child yells out for "mom".

Sheri had a tape recorder in her hand and she did have it turned on. When she listened to the tape she heard the child's voice. I later listened to it. The voice sounds exactly like the voice I hear in my home.

At this time Jim had decided to go upstairs and sit alone in the dark for a while.

8:45 pm

We were all downstairs (except for Jim) for a short while discussing the history of the house and family and taking pictures.

Everyone but Cathy went back upstairs.

9:00 pm

I walked through the rooms upstairs and checked my equipment. Everything seemed to be OK. Again I became very nauseous while standing at the top of the stairs. I could no longer stay up there.

I went downstairs and Mike followed me.

I sat in the living room talking with Mike and Cathy. I had my back to the kitchen. Mike was talking. We heard a woman yell. I wasn't sure where the voice had come from. I went to the bottom of the stairs and yelled to Sheri and asked if she or Benita had yelled for us. They had not.

I went ahead and walked upstairs and told Sheri, Jim and Benita what had happened. Mike was standing at the bottom of the stairs. Cathy walked up and asked what we wanted. While we were all talking she had heard someone yell "come here". None of us had said that.

While reviewing my tape from my Olympus audio recorder (set up in the north room upstairs) I could hear Benita state that she heard a mumble that possibly sounded like "murderer". Jim can be heard moving to the stairway and stating that he can hear us (myself, Mike and Cathy) talking and he could hear the TV.

Within a few seconds an old woman's voice can be heard on the tape. It sounds as if she takes a deep breath then says "Oh I heard you". The voice is fairly loud. This voice does not belong to anyone who was present during the investigation. Even though Jim was not far from the recorder his voice sounds distant. This woman's voice had to be close to the recorder to pick it up as loudly as it did. Right after that I can be heard yelling up the stairs to Sheri to see if they had yelled at us. After reviewing all of my material it is apparent that we (myself, Mike and Cathy) heard the voice downstairs at almost the same time Benita heard the mumble upstairs.

9:15 pm

I was standing in the living room talking with the homeowners. I was taking pictures. Cathy was sitting on the sofa directly in front of me. She was holding a pack of cigarettes in her hand and there was a cigarette in the ashtray. I did not smell or see any cigarette smoke. But I did see a long narrow mist cross in front of Cathy's face. It headed towards the kitchen.

I asked Cathy if the cigarette was lit and she said that it was not. I did verify that it was not. I cannot explain what this mist was.

Sheri, Benita and Mike were also present, but did not witness the mist.

Later, Sheri, Benita and I were standing in the kitchen. Benita smelled a sweet odor of flowers and, I believe, cinnamon. I did detect a sweet odor, but could not place what it smelled like. I walked up to Sheri and Benita to see if they were wearing perfume. Benita was not. Sheri said she had put perfume on early that day. I could detect a faint odor of her perfume, but it did not smell like what was in the kitchen. I did not notice that odor before or after that.

I went upstairs and retrieved my Olympus recorder. I sat it up on the dryer in the hallway at the bottom of the stairs.

After reviewing this tape I believe I have captured a voice possibly calling me a bitch. Debbie lowery was called a bitch at the previous investigation. That too was captured on a tape recorder.

9:30 pm

There was a kitten running around the house while we were there. At one point she stopped in the hall in front of the washing machine. She stared up at the light on the wall as if she were watching something. She stood on her hind legs with her front paws on the wall. It seemed she was trying to reach for something. We could see nothing out of the ordinary.

Earlier the kitten had done this upstairs, but there were some flies buzzing around the light. There were no bugs around the light downstairs.

I took some pictures, but have not had them developed at this time.

Sheri and I went back upstairs. Sheri told me my tape recorder in the south bedroom was making a lot of noise. It was squeaking very loudly. It sounded as if it were going to break. It had never done this before. The recorder is fairly new. Sheri stated that her recorder had done the same thing on a previous investigation in this home.

I began having sharp pains in my abdomen and immediately went back downstairs.

Jim, Benita and Mike came upstairs.

9:45 pm

Jim and Benita decided to leave. Sheri and I decided to leave shortly after. Mike's father had arrived at this time.

Sheri and I went upstairs and got our equipment. We stayed for a short while talking to Mike, Cathy and Mike's father.

10:00 pm

The investigation was over. Sheri and I left.

In conclusion I believe there is at least one spirit in this house. It seems to me to be an elderly woman. An unhappy one at that. I have never felt so much tension in one place. I've never experienced the nausea during an investigation like I did that night.

I cannot explain the voice of the child that Sheri heard and caught on tape.

I have not reviewed all of my videotape at this time. Although I captured the woman's voice saying "Oh I heard you" on my Olympus, I did not capture the voice on my GE recorder. The recorders were not that far apart. As loud as the voice was I believe I should have picked it up on the other recorder also. It will be interesting to see if the voice is on the videotape. It was set up even closer to the Olympus.
