Sixteen SGS members arrived at the St. George Hotel in Carlinville. There was a bar on the first floor, and we all gathered there to hear a short story about the hotel. There have apparently been strange sightings of what is thought to be Judge Thaddeus Loomis, the gentleman who funded the construction of the hotel in 1860. Apparently, most of the sightings took place on the second floor of the hotel.

The investigation began in the basement of the building. I took various pictures and used my EMF meter, obtaining no results.

I then began my investigation of the next three floors. There were many rooms and staircases.

At one time during the investigation I witnessed a decorative fork, which was hanging on the wall, swing back and forth. I saw this happening after one of the other investigators stated he was taping it moving. It was hanging next to a spoon, which was still. There wasn't enough breeze in the room to make the fork swing in this manner.

I took many pictures. I did get a couple of orbs in a couple of my pictures that were taken on the second and third floors. I did not get any electronic voice phenomena on my tape recorders. I did get a couple of unexplained EMF readings in a room, which looked like it used to be a bar on the second floor. One of the other investigators obtained readings in this area also.

I did get a couple of orbs in some of my pictures, but no electronic voice phenomena on my tape recorder.
